July was a good month for Lola Directory. First we did the ‘Lola dance’ which move quality sites up on the list. Then the traffic gone up by 25% and we had 4000 unique visitors.
We can see it well with Alexa that now our rank is 137,922. Back in June before we changed the directory model to free we were around 500,000
And more people are using our search function.
We are still working on furoms system. We hope it will be ready by the end of the month!

Hi all,
We perform some updates, so many sites move up in the ranking and many move down… minor websites were removed because they failed to score the minimum points to qualify.
The sponsored links stay as they are. The price will move up tomorrow.
Another news – due to massive submissions from Turkey we had to block access from Turkey for a while. We don’t accept non English sites and we were swamped by sites from Turkey. In two weeks we will resume access as normal.

Alexa ranking
Hi all,
It is not a secret that since we change the directory into a free model the traffic is much better. If by mid June we were around 500,000 at Alexa, we are now 198,980 in less than a month. Yes we know that Alexa is not 100% accurate but it is a good tool to check trends.
And we can see it as well in the server statistics. We have now around 250 visitors per day and each week we getting stronger.
The next project after the ‘Lola dance‘ will be adding forums to the site. And for those who are waiting for the next ‘Top 10′ list, we are working on the ‘Top 10 Movies ever’.

What is ‘Lola Dance‘?
Like Google one, but on smaller scale 
When you submit a site we calculate the site quality value according to a special formula that we have developed. This determines the site’s position under each keyword. But as time goes by, some sites are getting better and some are getting worse. So it is time for some updates. We have also improved the formula so now we can measure the quality of each website much better.
What does it mean for your site?
It means that on the 15/07 each site in the directory will have a new quality value, so the position under each keyword will be changed!
Even more important sites that will reach a score below 50 will be remove. To avoid that we strongly recommend to use our sponsor link option. This will guarantee your position and the ‘Dance’ will not effect your site.

What’s new with Lola Directory?
Hi all,
We are growing and growing each day. The traffic has increased this month by 40% compering to May. Search engines send us 15% more traffic. Not bad… So far in June we had around 5000 search queries with keyword Travel leading.
We really try to keep the directory with quality websites. That’s why we are now limiting each keyword to have only 30 websites under it. 30 options are more than enough for someone to find what they are looking for. At the moment the closest keyword to achieve this cap is Automotive.
We are also working very hard on a new quality rating for the websites. We hope to implmant it somewhere around mid July. This means that any website that will not score the minimum points will remove from the directory. It also means that the order of the websites under each keyword is going to change. So if your site is at the bottom, you still have a chance.
